How it works
• Weekly evaluation and treatment by MDS/DOS, PAs and NPs until all the wound(s) are manageable.
• Our visits/billing codes are unique and we provide physician wound evaluation and treatment - we are not a Home Health agency.
No double billing from Medicare/insurance companies.
• Up-to-date, transparent records: turnover of clinical progress notes/orders within 24-48hrs for nursing staff to execute.
• Education and empowerment for caregivers-basic wound care information endorsed to Nurses / Caregivers.
HOSPICE AGENCIES
Benefits To Hospice Agencies
Wound care under the Hospice philosophy. Procedural pain management and palliative wound care at the patient's bedside or at the Nursing Facility by a licensed wound care provider.
Dignity and quality of life. Patients' wounds are managed and treated through gentle Palliative Debridement within the Hospice goals of care, to decrease bioburden and reduce wound infection.
No direct cost of dressing supplies to hospice. Dressings will be provided through our contracted vendors as long as the patient has an active Medicare Part B Insurance.
How it works
• Weekly physician wound evaluation and treatments with orders for nursing staff - these visits are not conflicting with any of the services that the hospice benefit provides, and neither affects hospice reimbursement.
• Turn-over of clinical progress notes/orders within 24-48 hours. We are wound specialists who provide a recommended plan of care for wounds.
• Our billing is independent of the hospice service benefit.
